On November 22, 2023, the occupation committed the massacre of the Abu Sharia and Al-Hasayna family in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, targeting an entire residential square with fire belts from warplanes. The occupation turned the place into a mass of rubble, the landmarks of the area completely disappeared, and the occupation prevented rescue and civil defense crews from reaching and recovering the victims from the first moment of the massacre. The effects of destruction remained a witness to the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe, until civil defense crews began operations to recover the martyrs on July 14, in an attempt to reach the remaining martyrs under the rubble. The number of those who died in the massacre reached about 308 martyrs, including 44 children under the age of sixteen, 37 women, in addition to more than 10 people with special needs. Today, Gaza is mourning 112 martyrs from the Abu Sharia and Al-Hasayna families in a grand funeral and a new harsh murder.
