After 1,000 days of annihilation war, Gaza is bleeding its medical personnel, and hospitals are fighting to survive. More than 1,700 doctors, nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists from the health sector have been murdered since the start of the war. 3 doctors died inside occupation prisons, while others face torture and medical negligence behind bars. 83 medical personnel are still in detention, out of 362 arrested by the occupation forces since the beginning of the genocide. 162 health institutions and 197 ambulances were targeted, while 36 hospitals and 96 health centers were out of service. The remaining doctors continue to work in exhausted hospitals, amid a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, and after losing their colleagues one after another. Prominent doctors, including Hossam Abu Safiya and Marwan Al-Hams, are still in occupation prisons, amid human rights warnings about the deterioration of their health conditions.
