A statement issued by Lulu Bakery and its employees regarding the murder that occurred in front of the bakery in Birzeit at dawn today. We publish it as we received it: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. We would like to clarify an important matter after the unfortunate incident that occurred near the bakery, which caused the spread of many rumors and inaccurate information. We clearly confirm that the bakery and its employees have no connection to this incident, and it did not occur inside the bakery or because of it, but rather it occurred in the vicinity of the area only. We are surprised by the circulation of some rumors that may harm the reputation of the bakery or its employees without any evidence, and we call on everyone to be accurate and not be led by undocumented news, out of respect for the truth and the feelings of all parties. The bakery workers tried to provide assistance as much as they could, but they were subjected to death threats, which prevented them from being able to intervene further to ensure their safety. The competent authorities and ambulance were contacted immediately. We also confirm that the workers were taken to the police station only to provide their statements as witnesses to what happened, and they were not arrested or accused in any way.
