A clarification statement of public opinion issued on the general body of the Palestinian crossings and borders: Some pages and media have circulated fabricated news that offend the President of the General Authority of Crossing and Borders, Nazmi Muhanna, and to all the crews working on the crossings. We affirm that these rumors are false and unfounded, and that his compassion is still at the top of his work, performing his daily duty in the service of our people and facilitating their travel and transporting them with all effort and sincerity. The goal of promoting such lies is to distort, abuse and destabilize our national institutions, in the service of private and suspicious agendas, which we will not allow. Accordingly, the General Authority for Crossing and Borders will take the necessary legal measures against anyone who publishes or promotes these false rumors. We also call on our people not to be drawn behind the misleading news.
