A statement issued by the family of the late Israa Mustafa Tawfiq Shawahna, which we publish as stated: // In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, out of honor for the face of God Almighty, and out of respect for the loyal people of our town, and for our proud clan (the Shawahna clan)… We announce to everyone that we, as the family and brothers of the late martyr (Israa Mustafa Tawfiq Shawahna), weigh matters wisely, deeply, and with national and humanitarian responsibility, and accordingly, we affirm that there is no… There is no revenge or legal prosecution between us and the perpetrator’s family (his father and brothers), and our case is completely and absolutely confined to the killer himself, who has been stripped of his humanity, as he is our only opponent in this world and the hereafter. Therefore, out of honor for the soul of the martyr and her children, for civil peace, and for the bloodshed, we declare that we have no objection to them returning to their homes and living their normal lives. Our case is not with the family, but with the murderous criminal alone. We have raised our file from the ground to Heaven, and we have delegated our command to the One Almighty, and to the just judiciary and the authority, and to impose the maximum punishment, which is (death), against this accursed, murderous murderer.
