Channel 12 Hebrew: Ibrahim Hamed, 60 years old, is considered the most dangerous prisoner in Israeli prisons today. He was the commander of Hamas’s military wing in the West Bank during the Second Intifada. He planned and organized dozens of attacks against Israelis. These include the café attack in which 11 Israelis were killed and 65 wounded, the 2002 Sheffield Club attack in Rishon Lezion in which 15 Israelis were killed and 57 wounded, and the Hebrew University attack in the same year in which 9 people were killed and about 100 wounded. Hamed’s manhunt was difficult until his arrest on June 27, 2012, and his conviction for killing 46 Israelis and wounding more than 400 others. He was sentenced to 54 life imprisonments, and Israel refused to release him in the Shalit deal.
