Jalil Hamid, spokesman for the prisoner’s family, stated that the family was informed through Doctors Without Borders that the leg of the captive child, Muhammad Musa Hamid, had been amputated, in light of continuous medical follow-up of his health condition. He explained that the family is following the necessary procedures in cooperation with governmental and international agencies and the media, and confirms that work is underway to monitor the condition and health of the prisoner on an ongoing basis, in addition to completing the procedures for receiving the amputated leg. Finally, the hospital administration decided to hand over the amputated leg to the prisoner’s family, and all necessary procedures are being worked on for that. It is expected within hours or tomorrow at the latest.
