Prisoner Media Office: – We warn of the seriousness of the health status of the life prisoner, Bilal Yaqoub Al -Barghouti (39 years), from the town of Beit Rima in Ramallah, who is in the prison of “Gilboua” in harsh and inhuman conditions of detention. The Prisoner of Barghouti suffers from chronic and dangerous diseases, most notably kidney failure, high blood pressure, gout, and “Skapius”, in addition to high fats, varicose veins and the effects of previous injuries, while the prison administration refuses to provide appropriate treatment or necessary medical supplies, and deliberately provide foods that do not fit its health condition. – Liberal prisoners ’testimonies confirmed that he was held in a closed room without sun or air, which led to the loss of more than 40 kg of his weight, in addition to depriving him of treatment and visits, and his exposure to beating, insulting and burning hot water on his hand. – We hold the occupation fully responsible for his life, and we consider his continued detention in these circumstances a slow murder and systematic torture, and we ask human rights institutions to intervene urgently to release him, as we appeal to our people to solidify with his anxious family on his fate.
